Industry follows a group of young graduates competing for a limited number of permanent positions at Pierpoint & Co., a prestigious investment bank in London. The series offers an unflinching look at the high-stakes, high-pressure world of international finance, where the lines between professional ambition and personal morality are constantly blurred. As the graduates navigate the cutthroat culture of the trading floor, they must contend with toxic office politics, intense performance reviews, and the relentless pursuit of success in an environment that demands everything from them. Beyond the office, the show explores the personal lives of these characters as they grapple with identity, privilege, and the hedonistic lifestyle that often accompanies their career path. Through the eyes of Harper Stern, an outsider from New York, the series dissects the systemic issues within the financial sector, showcasing how the pursuit of wealth and status shapes—and often destroys—the relationships and mental well-being of those caught in its orbit.
