Inside Job is an adult animated science fiction workplace comedy series that follows the daily grind of Cognito Inc., a shadow organization where all the conspiracy theories—from the Illuminati to reptilian shapeshifters—are absolute fact. The series centers on Reagan Ridley, an antisocial, genius tech guru who believes she can change the world for the better, despite working alongside her unstable father and a team of quirky, morally ambiguous coworkers. As Reagan vies for a long-overdue promotion, workplace politics collide with global conspiracies, leading to chaotic misadventures that test her sanity. Throughout the series, Reagan and her team deal with bizarre anomalies, rogue experimental tech, and the looming threat of the Shadow Board of Cognito Inc. Alongside her forced partner, Brett Hand—a midwestern 'yes-man' with a penchant for people-pleasing—Reagan navigates secret missions while grappling with her own deep-seated family trauma. The overarching conflict pits Reagan's ambition and desire to fix the shadow government against the entrenched, corrupt powers of her father and superiors, all while keeping the world completely oblivious to the truth.
