Ironside

Ironside follows the life of Robert T. Ironside, a highly respected Chief of Detectives for the San Francisco Police Department who is left paralyzed from the waist down after a sniper attack. Refusing to retire, Ironside transitions into a consultant role for the police department, operating out of a specially equipped office and utilizing a customized van. He leads a hand-picked team of investigators to solve complex crimes that baffle the regular force, relying on his sharp intellect, tenacity, and unconventional methods. The series explores the challenges Ironside faces as a disabled man in a high-stakes law enforcement environment, often highlighting his struggle to maintain authority while dealing with physical limitations. Alongside his loyal team—including Sergeant Ed Brown, Officer Eve Whitfield, and his personal aide Mark Sanger—Ironside navigates the gritty streets of San Francisco, tackling everything from murder mysteries to organized crime, all while proving that his disability does not diminish his effectiveness as a brilliant detective.
