It Ain't Half Hot Mum

"It Ain't Half Hot Mum" is a classic British sitcom created by Jimmy Perry and David Croft that originally aired on BBC1 from 1974 to 1981. Set in Deolali, British India, during the closing stages of the Second World War, the series follows the misadventures of a Royal Artillery concert party. The group is ostensibly tasked with entertaining the troops, but they spend most of their time avoiding proper military duties, much to the fury of their fiercely disciplinarian superior, Battery Sergeant Major Arthur Williams.
