It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia follows 'The Gang'—five narcissistic, sociopathic, and morally bankrupt friends who run Paddy's Pub, an unsuccessful Irish bar in South Philadelphia. The group consists of twins Dennis and Dee Reynolds, their friends Charlie Kelly and Mac, and Frank Reynolds, Dennis and Dee's legal father. Together, they navigate life in Philadelphia, constantly concocting elaborate schemes to get rich, seek revenge, or satisfy their own selfish desires, usually resulting in disastrous consequences for everyone around them. The series is defined by its dark humor, cynical tone, and the characters' complete lack of personal growth or self-awareness. As the show progresses, the gang's antics become increasingly absurd and extreme, often tackling controversial social and political issues through their warped, ignorant perspectives. Despite their constant bickering and backstabbing, the group remains inseparable, bound by their shared dysfunction and mutual disdain for the rest of society.
