Jack & Bobby is an American drama television series that aired on The WB from 2004 to 2005. The show focuses on the lives of two teenage brothers, Jack and Robert 'Bobby' McCallister, growing up in a Missouri college town with their eccentric, brilliant mother, Professor Grace McCallister. Flashed-forward documentary segments interspersed throughout the episodes reveal that one of these two brothers will grow up to become the President of the United States, though the audience is kept guessing which one it is for the majority of the series. The series explores themes of adolescent angst, family dynamics, political ambition, and the complex relationships between the brothers. Jack is the older, athletic, and more conventionally popular brother, while Bobby is intellectual, socially awkward, and deeply interested in politics and history. As they navigate the trials of high school, first loves, and personal tragedies, the shadow of their future destiny—and the mysterious events that shaped it—hangs over every decision they make.
