Janet King is a gripping Australian legal drama that follows the life of Senior Crown Prosecutor Janet King as she returns to work from maternity leave. Thrust into a high-profile investigation, she uncovers a complex web of corruption and conspiracy that reaches the highest levels of the Australian government and police force. As she navigates the pressures of the courtroom, she must also balance the demands of her personal life and the scrutiny of her peers. The first season, subtitled 'The Inquest,' focuses on Janet's appointment to lead a Royal Commission into a series of interconnected crimes. As she digs deeper, she faces intense opposition from powerful figures who will stop at nothing to keep their secrets buried.
