Jason and the Argonauts

This 2000 television miniseries reimagines the classic Greek myth of Jason, a young man who embarks on a perilous quest to reclaim his rightful throne in Iolcus. After his father is murdered by his treacherous uncle Pelias, Jason is sent away to be raised in secret. Upon returning as a man, he is tasked with retrieving the legendary Golden Fleece from the distant and dangerous land of Colchis to prove his lineage and claim his kingdom. To accomplish this impossible feat, Jason assembles a crew of legendary heroes, including Hercules, Orpheus, and Atalanta, and sets sail on the ship Argo. Throughout their journey, they face divine interference from the gods of Olympus, encounter terrifying mythological creatures like the Hydra and the Harpies, and navigate the complex political machinations of those who wish to see them fail.
