Kemono Friends is set in Japari Park, a massive, mysterious zoo where the 'Sandstar' substance has turned animals into anthropomorphic girls known as 'Friends'. The story follows Kaban, a human girl who wakes up in the park with no memory of who she is or where she came from. She is soon joined by Serval, an energetic and curious cat-girl, as they embark on a journey across the park's diverse biomes to discover Kaban's true identity. As they travel, they encounter various other Friends, each representing a different animal species with unique traits and personalities. Together, they must navigate the challenges of the park, including the mysterious 'Cerulean' creatures that threaten the peace of their home. The series is celebrated for its heartwarming exploration of friendship, environmental themes, and the bond between humans and nature.
