Kill la Kill follows Ryuko Matoi, a vagrant schoolgirl searching for the wielder of the red scythe who murdered her father. Her quest leads her to Honnouji Academy, a fictional high school dominated by its fearsome student council led by Satsuki Kiryuin. The academy is ruled through special uniforms known as "Goku Uniforms," which grant superhuman abilities based on their percentage of "Life Fibers," an alien material. Upon infiltrating the school, Ryuko discovers a sentient sailor uniform named Senketsu, who dubs her his "wearer" and transforms her to match the power of the Goku Uniforms. As Ryuko challenges Satsuki and the Elite Four to uncover the truth behind her father's death, she uncovers a massive global conspiracy involving the Revocs Corporation, led by Satsuki's mother, Ragyo Kiryuin, threatening the entire human race with assimilation by the Life Fibers.
