King of Mask Singer

King of Mask Singer is a South Korean singing competition program where contestants perform in elaborate masks and costumes to conceal their identities. By removing visual biases such as age, career, and popularity, the show forces the audience and celebrity panel to judge the performers solely on their vocal ability and stage presence. The winner of each episode advances to challenge the reigning 'Mask King' for the throne. The show features a rotating panel of celebrity judges who provide commentary and attempt to guess the identity of the singers based on clues, vocal tone, and physical mannerisms. When a contestant is eliminated, they reveal their identity by removing their mask, often resulting in shocking surprises as professional singers, actors, athletes, and comedians are unmasked. The format has become a global phenomenon, spawning numerous international adaptations including the popular American version, 'The Masked Singer'.
