Set in the year 2050, 'Kong: King of the Apes' reimagines the classic King Kong mythos as an animated sci-fi adventure series. After being blamed for a devastating fire at Alcatraz Island's Natural History and Marine Preserve, Kong is hunted as a dangerous fugitive. However, the true culprit is the brilliant yet deranged billionaire scientist Richard Botch, who uses a cybernetic army and giant robotic dinosaurs to take over the world. Now, Kong's only hope for survival and redemption lies with a small group of loyal humans, including his teenage foster brother Lukas Remy, animal rights activist Amy Quon, and street-smart tech prodigy Danny Quon. Together, the young heroes must keep Kong hidden from the authorities while helping him thwart Richard Botch's catastrophic plans for global domination. Blending high-tech gadgets, colossal monster battles, and environmental themes, the series follows Kong's evolution from a misunderstood beast into humanity's greatest protector.
