Inspired by true events, Women in Blue follows four women who defy the ultra-conservative norms of 1970s Mexico by joining the country's first female police force. As they navigate the systemic sexism and skepticism of their male colleagues, they discover that their recruitment is merely a publicity stunt designed to distract the public from a brutal serial killer terrorizing the city. Determined to prove their worth and protect their community, the women embark on a secret, high-stakes investigation to catch the killer that the male-dominated police force has failed to apprehend. The series explores themes of empowerment, justice, and the struggle for equality, as the protagonists risk everything to uncover the truth while fighting for their place in a society that refuses to take them seriously.
