Late Night with Seth Meyers

Late Night with Seth Meyers is an American late-night talk show hosted by comedian and former Saturday Night Live head writer Seth Meyers. Premiering in 2014, the show distinguishes itself from traditional late-night formats by focusing heavily on sharp, topical political satire and long-form comedic segments. Meyers is well-known for his signature 'A Closer Look' segment, which provides an in-depth, humorous analysis of current political events and news cycles, often blending investigative journalism with biting wit. Beyond its political commentary, the show features a mix of celebrity interviews, musical performances, and recurring comedy sketches. The program is noted for its collaborative atmosphere, frequently featuring writers and staff members in on-air roles, and its commitment to a more conversational, intellectual approach to the late-night genre. With a dedicated house band, The 8G Band, the show maintains a high-energy, modern aesthetic that has solidified its place as a staple of NBC's late-night lineup.
