Set within the prestigious Hankuk University Law School, the series follows elite professors and ambitious students as they are thrust into an unprecedented murder mystery. When a rigorous, sharp-tongued criminal law professor is found dead on campus under suspicious circumstances, his colleagues and students become prime suspects. As the investigation unfolds, the future legal minds must navigate complex ethical dilemmas, personal trauma, and systemic corruption to uncover the truth. Led by the formidable former prosecutor Yang Jong-hoon—affectionately and fearfully nicknamed 'Yang-crates'—and bright first-year students like Han Joon-hwi and Kang Sol A, the ensemble works together using the Socratic method of teaching and legal acumen. The narrative brilliantly weaves between the courtroom thriller present and the dark secrets of the past, highlighting how the pursuit of justice requires both rigorous intellect and moral courage.
