Live Free or Die Hard

While working on the 4th installment of the Die Hard franchise, veteran NYPD detective John McClane finds himself tasked with bringing in a young hacker named Matt Farrell for questioning. However, as they head to Washington D.C., a massive cyber-terrorist attack orchestrated by the ruthless Thomas Gabriel shuts down the United States' entire computer infrastructure. As the nation plunges into chaos, Gabriel's "fire sale" threatens everything from traffic lights to the stock market and power grids. McClane must rely on Farrell's technical expertise and his own old-school, visceral survival instincts to outwit the cyber-criminals, rescue his daughter Lucy, and stop the terrorists before they cripple the country completely.
