Locodol

Nanako Usami is an ordinary high school girl living in the provincial city of Nagarekawa. When her uncle asks her to become a 'Locodol' (local idol) to help promote the city, she reluctantly agrees, teaming up with her upperclassman, Yukari Kohinata. Together, they form the idol unit 'Nagarekawa Girls' to boost the city's profile through various public appearances, performances, and local events. As the duo navigates the challenges of show business on a shoestring budget, they encounter eccentric characters and bizarre promotional tasks. The series explores the humorous and heartwarming dynamics of the girls as they balance their academic lives with their growing responsibilities as local celebrities, all while striving to make their small town shine on the map.
