Lost in Austen

Amanda Price is a modern-day Londoner and an obsessive fan of Jane Austen's novel *Pride and Prejudice*. Her life is turned upside down when she discovers a secret door in her bathroom that connects her flat to the fictional world of Longbourn, allowing her to swap places with Elizabeth Bennet. Amanda finds herself bewildered by 19th-century society, while Elizabeth is equally confused by modern Hammersmith. As Amanda tries to navigate her favorite story, her modern sensibilities and knowledge of future events drastically alter the plot. She inadvertently disrupts the romance between Elizabeth and Mr. Darcy, causes scandal among the Bennet family, and finds herself forming unexpected connections—including a complicated attraction to the brooding Mr. Darcy himself. The miniseries explores themes of identity, literary fandom, and the clash between modern autonomy and Regency-era social expectations.
