Love and Lies

In a near-future Japan where the government assigns marriage partners upon turning 16 to maximize genetic compatibility—known as the 'Yukari Law'—Yukari Nejima holds secret feelings for his classmate, Misaki Takasaki. On his sixteenth birthday, just as he decides to confess his love, he receives his official government notice: his designated future bride is Ririna Sanada. Ririna, initially unenthusiastic about the government-enforced match, agrees to let Yukari pursue his feelings for Misaki, hoping to understand what true love feels like. However, as the three teenagers navigate this unconventional dynamic, deep secrets about the government matching system begin to unravel, forcing them to choose between duty and genuine emotion.
