Man Seeking Woman is a surrealist comedy series that follows the life of Josh Greenberg, a naive and romantic young man navigating the harsh, often absurd landscape of the dating world in Chicago. After a devastating breakup with his long-term girlfriend, Josh is thrust back into the singles scene, where his romantic failures are manifested through bizarre, literalized metaphors—ranging from dating a literal troll to dealing with time-traveling exes and alien invasions. Created by Simon Rich and based on his short story collection 'The Last Girlfriend on Earth,' the show uses high-concept, dreamlike scenarios to explore the universal anxieties of modern dating. Alongside his best friend Mike and his sister Liz, Josh attempts to find love while constantly battling the surreal obstacles that life throws in his path, highlighting the awkwardness, desperation, and eventual growth that come with searching for a soulmate.
