Midnight Diner

Set in a small, unassuming diner in Shinjuku, Tokyo, that opens from midnight to seven in the morning, the series revolves around the enigmatic owner, known only as 'Master'. The menu consists of just a single item—tonjorku pork miso soup set—along with whatever else the Master is willing and able to prepare upon request based on the ingredients available. As the night unfolds, an eclectic mix of patrons walk through the door, ranging from yakuza gangsters and aging strip club dancers to unsuccessful manga artists, office workers, and lonely souls. Each episode centers on a specific dish that holds emotional significance for a customer, acting as a catalyst for stories of human connection, heartbreak, nostalgia, and comfort in the quiet hours of the night.
