MIU404

Set in the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department's 4th Mobile Investigation Unit (MIU), the series follows the unconventional pairing of Ai Ibuki, an athletic and empathetic cop with exceptional physical instincts but a troubled past, and Kazumi Shima, a cynical, highly analytical veteran who relies on rationality and caution. Operating out of an unmarked mobile patrol car, the duo has just 24 hours to track down suspects and solve urgent cases before crimes slip through the cracks. Created by the acclaimed team behind *Unnatural*—writer Akiko Nogi and director Tsukahara Ayuko—the series blends high-stakes procedural investigations with sharp social commentary. As Ibuki and Shima clash and gradually form a deep bond, they also uncover a shadowy conspiracy involving a mastermind manipulating petty criminals across Tokyo, testing their ethical boundaries and commitment to justice.
