Mork & Mindy

Mork & Mindy is an American sitcom television series that aired on ABC from September 14, 1978, to May 27, 1982. A spin-off of Happy Days, the series stars Robin Williams as Mork, an extraterrestrial who arrives on Earth in a small egg-shaped spaceship from the planet Ork, and Pam Dawber as Mindy McConnell, a young woman who takes him in. Set in Boulder, Colorado, the show follows Mork as he studies human behavior, often reporting back to his demanding superior, Orson, while navigating the comedic cultural clashes of everyday life on Earth. The series was an instant pop-culture phenomenon, largely driven by Robin Williams' frenetic, improvisational comedic style and his undeniable chemistry with co-star Pam Dawber. Over its four-season run, the show explored Mork and Mindy's evolving relationship—shifting from a platonic mentorship to romance and eventually marriage, culminating in the birth of their unusual Orkan-human hybrid child, Mearth. Despite facing various timeslot shifts and creative changes in its later seasons, Mork & Mindy remains a defining television touchstone of the late 1970s and early 1980s.
