Mortified

Mortified is an Australian children's television series that follows the life of Taylor Fry, an imaginative and quirky 11-year-old girl living in the coastal town of Sunburn Beach. Taylor often feels embarrassed by her eccentric parents and her older sister, Layla, leading her to believe she is adopted. Her vivid imagination frequently manifests as daydreams where she interacts with historical figures or fictional characters, helping her navigate the social minefields of middle school. Throughout the series, Taylor deals with typical pre-teen struggles, including unrequited crushes, school bullies, and the desire to fit in while maintaining her individuality. Alongside her best friend Hector, she embarks on various comedic adventures that highlight the awkwardness of adolescence. The show is celebrated for its unique visual style, breaking the fourth wall, and its relatable, often cringe-worthy portrayal of growing up.
