Navarro

Navarro is a long-running French police procedural series that follows the life and investigations of Antoine Navarro, a dedicated and compassionate police commissioner in Paris. Unlike many gritty crime dramas, the series focuses heavily on the human element of law enforcement, highlighting Navarro's strong moral compass, his commitment to justice, and his deep empathy for both victims and the troubled individuals he encounters. Throughout the series, Navarro balances the complexities of high-stakes criminal investigations—ranging from murder and kidnapping to organized crime—with his personal life as a single father raising his daughter, Yolande. The show is celebrated for its longevity, its realistic portrayal of the French judicial system, and the enduring performance of Roger Hanin, who brought a sense of warmth and gravitas to the titular character over the course of nearly two decades.
