Ngoen Pak Phi is a Thai supernatural drama that centers on the legend of the 'coin in the mouth,' a ritualistic practice where a coin is placed in the mouth of the deceased to pay for their passage into the afterlife. The story follows a wealthy, arrogant man named Liang who dies under mysterious circumstances. Because he was obsessed with his fortune and refused to let go of his worldly possessions, his spirit remains tethered to the living world, unable to move on. As Liang's spirit haunts his family and those who seek to claim his vast wealth, he becomes a vengeful entity. The series explores themes of greed, karma, and the consequences of attachment to material goods. The narrative weaves together horror elements with family drama as the living characters must confront the dark secrets of their past and the terrifying reality of a spirit who will stop at nothing to protect his legacy.
