Our Man Higgins

Our Man Higgins is an American sitcom that aired during the 1962–1963 television season. The series follows the life of Higgins, a refined and unflappable British butler who is sent to the United States to work for the MacRoberts, a suburban American family living in Connecticut. The premise centers on the cultural clash between Higgins' traditional, formal British sensibilities and the chaotic, informal lifestyle of the MacRoberts family, consisting of Alice and Duncan MacRoberts and their three children. As the series progresses, Higgins becomes an indispensable member of the household, often using his dry wit and impeccable manners to solve the family's domestic dilemmas. The show highlights the comedic friction of his attempts to maintain order and decorum in a household that is frequently turned upside down by the antics of the children and the social aspirations of the parents. Despite their differences, a strong bond of mutual respect and affection develops between the butler and his American employers.
