Ouroboros

Ouroboros follows the intertwined lives of Ikuo Ryuzaki and Tatsuya Danno, two orphans who witnessed the murder of their beloved mentor, Yuko, at an orphanage twenty years prior. Haunted by the sight of a police officer with a golden watch who covered up the crime, the two boys vow to exact revenge. As adults, they infiltrate the two sides of the law: Ikuo becomes a highly skilled but seemingly clumsy detective in the police force, while Tatsuya rises to become a powerful leader in the yakuza underworld. Operating in the shadows, the duo works in perfect tandem—Ikuo gathers intelligence from within the police department, while Tatsuya utilizes his criminal connections to track down the culprits. Their quest for justice forces them to navigate a web of corruption, political conspiracies, and moral ambiguity. As they peel back the layers of the cover-up, they must confront the painful truth about their past and the devastating cost of their pursuit of vengeance.
