Outer Range centers on Royal Abbott, a Wyoming rancher fighting for his land and family, who discovers an unfathomable mystery at the edge of Wyoming's wilderness. A thrilling family mystery and western epic with hints of absurdist humor and supernatural suspense, the series kicks off as the Abbott family is coping with the disappearance of daughter-in-law Rebecca. Things are pushed further to the brink when the Tillersons—the owners of a competing neighboring ranch—make a play for their land. An untimely death in the community sets off a chain of tense events, and a mysterious black void on the Abbott family's west pasture comes to light. As Royal fights to protect his family and his way of life, time and space begin to bend around the ranch in inexplicable ways.
