Peacemaker follows the explosive exploits of Christopher Smith, a vain and lethal operative who believes in achieving peace at any cost—no matter how many people he has to kill to get it. Set after the events of the 2021 film The Suicide Squad, the series finds Smith recruited by a mysterious A.R.G.U.S. black ops squad tasked with identifying and eliminating parasitic extraterrestrial beings known as 'Butterflies' that have infiltrated human society. As Smith navigates his complicated relationship with his white supremacist father and his own moral ambiguity, he is forced to work alongside a team of misfits, including the pragmatic Emilia Harcourt and the tech-savvy John Economos. The series blends dark humor, intense action, and character-driven drama as the team uncovers a global conspiracy, forcing the titular anti-hero to confront his past and decide if he is truly a villain or a hero in the making.
