Poot Mae Nam Khong is a spellbinding Thai period drama that intertwines past karma with present-day mystery along the banks of the Mekong River. The story revolves around Chao Mae Thapthim, a powerful and vengeful spirit bound to the river due to a tragic betrayal and brutal murder in her past life. Centuries later, individuals tied to her past reincarnate and return to the area, awakening long-dormant secrets and facing the wrath of the supernatural entity. As modern-day descendants and researchers arrive at the village, strange occurrences and unexplained deaths plague the community. The protagonist must uncover the truth behind the ancient curse, piece together the fragments of a forgotten past life, and find a way to appease the vengeful spirit before she claims more innocent lives. The series masterfully blends folklore, romance, and suspense to explore themes of forgiveness, destiny, and the inescapable consequences of human greed.
