Psychologist

Based on the novel of the same name by Bi Shumin, "The Psychologist" follows professional psychologist He Dun as she navigates the complex and often turbulent inner worlds of her clients while grappling with her own unresolved trauma and professional crises. After a public scandal strikes her mentor, He Dun's psychology studio faces immense pressure. She partners with the enthusiastic radio host Qian Kaiyi to host a psychology-themed radio program, which unexpectedly brings in a wide array of troubled individuals seeking help. As the series progresses, He Dun treats patients dealing with severe postpartum depression, anxiety, social isolation, and complex family dysfunctions. Alongside her professional journey, a deeper, more chilling mystery unfolds concerning her past, involving her mentor Ji Mingcong and a tragic event from her childhood. Through empathy, science, and unwavering dedication, He Dun works to heal both her patients and herself, ultimately finding a path toward reconciliation and inner peace.
