Set in the year 3000, Rocket Robin Hood is a futuristic animated series that reimagines the classic English folk hero as a space-faring adventurer. Operating from an asteroid base known as Sherwood Forest, Robin Hood and his Merry Men—including Little John, Friar Tuck, and Maid Marian—fight against the tyranny of the evil Prince John, who rules over the metropolis of New Sherwood on the asteroid Null. The series blends traditional sci-fi tropes with medieval folklore, featuring futuristic laser weapons, jetpacks, space monsters, and high-tech gadgetry alongside classic medieval aesthetics. Robin and his band consistently outwit the inept Sheriff of Nottingham and the computerized automated defenses of Prince John to redistribute wealth and energy to the oppressed citizens of the solar system.
