Ruby Wax Meets...

Ruby Wax Meets... is a long-running British television interview series hosted by the American-born comedian and presenter Ruby Wax. Known for her confrontational, high-energy, and often disarmingly intimate interviewing style, Wax travels the globe to sit down with some of the world's most famous and elusive celebrities, politicians, and public figures. The show eschews the traditional, polite talk-show format in favor of a more immersive experience, often placing the subjects in unusual environments or challenging them with blunt, probing questions that strip away their carefully curated public personas. Throughout its various iterations and specials, the series has featured an eclectic mix of guests, ranging from Hollywood A-listers and rock stars to controversial political figures like Donald Trump and Sarah Ferguson. The show is celebrated for its ability to oscillate between hilarious, chaotic comedy and moments of genuine psychological insight, as Wax uses her background in psychotherapy to navigate the complexities of her guests' lives. It remains a landmark of 1990s and early 2000s British television, defining a specific era of celebrity journalism.
