A modern American remake of Ingmar Bergman's classic Swedish miniseries, 'Scenes from a Marriage' re-examines the iconic depiction of love, hatred, desire, monogamy, marriage, and divorce through the lens of a contemporary American couple. The series stars Oscar Isaac as Jonathan, a philosophy professor, and Jessica Chastain as Mira, a high-powered tech executive. Over the course of several years, their seemingly stable upper-middle-class marriage unravels through a series of agonizingly raw confrontations, sudden betrayals, and deep emotional reckonings.
