SCTV Network is a groundbreaking, satirical sketch comedy television series that parodies the format and programming of a fictional low-budget television station based in the fictional town of Melonville. Created by the comedy troupe Second City Television, the show features brilliant recurring characters, fake commercials, movie parodies, and merciless send-ups of late-night television, news broadcasts, and cultural phenomena of the era. The ensemble cast expertly navigates behind-the-scenes network politics, giant egos, and absurd local broadcasting constraints to deliver some of the most influential comedy in television history.
