Search Party

Search Party is a dark comedy-thriller that follows Dory Sief, a fragile, frustrated young woman living in Brooklyn who becomes obsessed with the disappearance of a former college acquaintance named Chantal Witherbottom. Alongside her self-absorbed friends—the narcissistic actor Elliott, the struggling actress Portia, and her long-term boyfriend Drew—Dory launches an amateur investigation that spirals into a dangerous web of lies, moral ambiguity, and accidental criminality. As the series progresses, the tone shifts from a satirical look at millennial malaise into a surreal, high-stakes psychological thriller. The group finds themselves increasingly entangled in a cover-up that forces them to confront their own sociopathic tendencies and the consequences of their desperate need for purpose and validation in a shallow, modern world.
