Sensitive Skin

Sensitive Skin is a dark comedy-drama that follows Davina and Al, a middle-aged couple who decide to sell their comfortable suburban home and move into a trendy, minimalist condo in downtown Toronto. They are attempting to reinvent themselves and recapture their youth, but the transition proves to be far more challenging than they anticipated as they grapple with the physical and emotional realities of aging. As the series progresses, the couple faces the existential dread of mid-life, complicated by their strained relationships with their adult son and their own shifting identities. The show masterfully balances dry, acerbic humor with poignant reflections on mortality, regret, and the search for meaning in the later stages of life, all while navigating the absurdities of modern urban living.
