Seven Brides for Seven Brothers

Based on the hit 1954 musical film of the same name, this television series follows the lives of the seven rugged and uncouth Pontipee brothers living on an isolated Oregon farm in the 1850s. The eldest brother, Adam, goes to town for supplies and promptly falls in love with and marries a spirited young cook named Milly. Bringing her back to the remote homestead, Milly is shocked by the chaotic, uncivilized behavior of Adam's six younger brothers—Benjamin, Daniel, Ephraim, Caleb, Gideon, and Frank—and immediately sets out to teach them proper manners and the art of courting. The series blends classic western drama with romantic comedy and musical numbers, showcasing the culture clash between the refined expectations of the brides and the rough-and-tumble lifestyle of the frontiersmen. As the younger brothers are inspired by Adam and Milly's romance, they attempt to find their own sweethearts in nearby towns, leading to a series of humorous misunderstandings, regional rivalries, and heartfelt reconciliations. Throughout the episodes, the family must learn to balance individual independence with the bonds of brotherhood and community.
