In the third season of the acclaimed series, Moordale Secondary undergoes a radical transformation under the leadership of its new headmistress, Hope Haddon. Attempting to restore the school's reputation as a 'pillar of excellence,' Hope implements strict disciplinary measures, uniforms, and a regressive sex education curriculum that clashes directly with the students' progressive values and the legacy of Otis and Maeve's underground clinic. As the students navigate the pressures of the new administration, personal lives continue to evolve. Otis attempts to balance a secret casual relationship with Ruby, while Maeve grapples with her feelings for Otis and her complicated family dynamics. Meanwhile, Eric and Adam navigate the complexities of their official relationship, and Jean Milburn faces the challenges of a high-risk pregnancy, forcing her to confront her own past and her relationship with Jakob.
