Sounds Canada

Sounds Canada is a documentary-style television series that explores the diverse musical landscape and cultural soundscapes of Canada. Each episode travels to a different province or territory, highlighting local musicians, indigenous artists, and the unique acoustic environments that define the country's identity. The series serves as both a travelogue and a deep dive into the creative processes of artists ranging from folk singers in the Maritimes to electronic producers in urban centers like Toronto and Vancouver. Beyond the music, the show examines the historical and social contexts that influence Canadian art. Through intimate interviews and live performance footage, Sounds Canada captures the stories behind the songs, addressing themes of regional pride, cultural preservation, and the evolving nature of the Canadian music industry in the digital age.
