Stand My Heroes: Piece of Truth

Set in Tokyo, the story follows Rei Izumi, a rookie investigator at the Matori (Narcotics Control Department) under the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare. Rei possesses a unique physiological trait: she is immune to most drugs, making her an invaluable asset in investigating drug-related crimes. She is tasked with assembling a specialized team of experts—the 'Stand' unit—to tackle cold cases and high-stakes investigations that standard law enforcement cannot handle. As Rei recruits members from various backgrounds, including police officers, intelligence agents, and civilians with specialized skills, she uncovers a vast conspiracy involving a mysterious drug known as 'Ace.' The series explores the complex interpersonal dynamics between the diverse team members while they navigate political corruption, personal trauma, and the dangerous underworld of Tokyo. Together, they must piece together the truth behind the drug's origins and the shadowy organization pulling the strings.
