Star Trek: Prodigy

Developed by Kevin and Dan Hageman, 'Star Trek: Prodigy' is the first Star Trek series aimed primarily at younger audiences, while still offering a rich narrative that appeals to longtime fans of the franchise. Set in the year 2383, the story follows a motley crew of young alien outcasts who know nothing about the galaxy or the legendary organization known as Starfleet. Stranded on the harsh prison colony of Tars Lamora, they stumble upon an abandoned Starfleet ship, the USS Protostar. Led by Dal R'El, a resourceful human-like teenager, the crew includes the brilliant Tftis-born Gwyn, the nervous mechanoid Jankom Pog, the gelatinous Murf, the young Brikar Rok-Tahk, and the dog-like cybernetic creature Zero. Utilizing the holographic training program of Captain Kathryn Janeway (voiced by Kate Mulgrew), the kids pilot the Protostar out of captivity and embark on an extraordinary journey toward the Alpha Quadrant. Along the way, they must evade the ruthless overseer The Diviner—Gwyn's father—who desperately wants the ship back to destroy Starfleet, all while learning the core values of friendship, teamwork, and Starfleet ideals.
