Set between the events of Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith and Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope, the Galactic Empire is tightening its grip on the galaxy with a reign of terror. On the remote planet of Lothal, a diverse band of outcasts unite aboard the starship Ghost to form a small cell of freedom fighters known as the Spectres. The crew consists of the cunning leader Kanan Jarrus, one of the last surviving Jedi; the ace pilot Hera Syndulla; the tough-as-nails Mandalorian warrior Sabine Wren; the muscle-bound Lasat brute Garazeb "Zeb" Orrelios; Chopper, a cantankerous astromech droid; and Ezra Bridger, a street-smart orphan sensitive to the Force whom Kanan takes on as his Padawan. Over the course of the series, what begins as a group of local rebels engaging in acts of sabotage and petty theft gradually evolves into a vital component of a burgeoning, galaxy-wide rebellion. Along the way, the crew must evade ruthless Imperial enforcers such as Agent Kallus and the formidable Inquisitors dispatched by Darth Vader, while also crossing paths with iconic legacy characters like Ahsoka Tano, Captain Rex, Darth Maul, and Grand Admiral Thrawn. Through trial, sacrifice, and the deep bonds of found family, the crew of the Ghost discovers that even the smallest spark of hope can ignite a fire that destroys an empire.
