Stella

Stella is a surrealist comedy series that follows three middle-aged men—Michael, David, and Michael—who live together in a shared apartment in New York City. Despite their age, the trio remains perpetually stuck in a state of arrested development, navigating the mundane and absurd challenges of daily life with a complete lack of social awareness or maturity. Their world is defined by bizarre logic, eccentric neighbors, and a refusal to conform to traditional adult responsibilities. The series is characterized by its deadpan delivery, absurd scenarios, and a distinct lack of a traditional narrative arc. Each episode finds the men embroiled in low-stakes conflicts that escalate into surreal chaos, often involving their strange social circle or their own misguided attempts at professional and romantic success. It is a cult classic known for its unique brand of anti-humor and its influence on the alternative comedy scene of the mid-2000s.
