After a mass shooting takes place at a preparatory high school in Stockholm's wealthiest suburb, Maja Norberg, an eighteen-year-old student, is taken into custody and accused of murder. As the trial unfolds, the series delves into the events leading up to the tragedy, revealing the toxic dynamics of Maja's relationship with her wealthy boyfriend, Sebastian Fagerman, and the pressures of their privileged social circle. The narrative masterfully shifts between the present-day courtroom drama and flashbacks of the months preceding the shooting. It explores themes of class disparity, parental neglect, and the psychological unraveling of a teenager caught in a spiral of violence and manipulation. As the evidence is presented, the audience is forced to question Maja's true level of culpability and the societal failures that contributed to the horrific event.
