Strawberry Night follows Reiko Himekawa, a talented and intuitive detective in the Metropolitan Police Department's Murder Division. As one of the few women in a male-dominated unit, she faces constant scrutiny and skepticism while solving gruesome homicide cases. Her unique ability to 'see' the crime scene through a visceral, empathetic lens allows her to connect dots that others miss, though it often takes a heavy toll on her mental well-being. The series centers on the investigation of a series of bizarre murders where victims are found dumped in bushes, leading to the discovery of a mysterious snuff video titled 'Strawberry Night.' As Himekawa leads her dedicated team, she must navigate internal office politics, her own traumatic past, and a dangerous criminal underworld to uncover the truth behind the ritualistic killings.
