Şubat is a critically acclaimed, atmospheric Turkish drama series that blends gritty urban realism with elements of magical realism and modern fairy tales. Raised in the subterranean sewer systems of Istanbul after surviving a devastating tragedy as a child, Şubat is a pure-hearted yet formidable man who seeks justice in the shadows of the city. His life changes forever when he crosses paths with Yağmur, an idealistic television reporter who is determined to expose the corruption and dark underbelly of society. As Şubat and Yağmur navigate the labyrinthine streets of Istanbul, they uncover a sprawling conspiracy tied to a powerful, ruthless figure known as 'Deli İbrahim' and a secretive orphanage past. The series explores themes of sacrifice, unconditional love, and the duality of human nature, positioning Şubat as a mythic protector of the oppressed. With its distinctive poetic dialogue, striking visual style, and haunting soundtrack, Şubat stands out as one of the most culturally unique and artistic productions in Turkish television history.
