Set in the outskirts of Rome, Suburra: Blood on Rome is a crime drama series that explores the intersection of organized crime, corrupt politicians, and the Vatican. Based on the novel of the same name by Giancarlo De Cataldo and Carlo Bonini, the story begins with a land deal in Ostia that sparks a violent, multi-sided turf war. As rival factions—the ruthless Adami family, the Gypsy Adachi clan, and ambitious political figures—vie for control, the boundaries between the law and the underworld blur completely. Over the course of its three gripping seasons, the power struggle intensifies as young, ruthless players rise through the ranks. Aureliano Adami, Spadino Anacleti, and politician's son-turned-corrupt operative Lele Marchilli form an uneasy and volatile alliance to carve out their own empires. Betrayals, shifting loyalties, and brutal violence define their race to conquer the Eternal City before their enemies—or the authorities—can bring them down.
