Sumire Kisaragi has spent her entire life taking care of her family, eventually nursing her aging parents until her mother passed away, leaving her unmarried, friendless, and burdened with grief at the age of 65. Desperate for a chance to experience the youth she never had, a mysterious folding screen releases an ancient demon named Ashirara who grants her wish, transforming her physical body back into that of a 20-year-old. Taking on the name Sumi, she enrolls in university to experience college life, first love, and independence. However, she must keep her true identity a secret while navigating modern society, all while dealing with the emotional strings attached to the demon's pact. As Sumi discovers the joy of genuine friendships and romance with a kind-hearted classmate named Mashiro, she confronts the deeper meaning of time, aging, and what it truly means to live.
